From my hometown Westbury, LI, NY where my mother still lives. I was visiting today and went to the downtown area where the movie theater that I used to see movies in as a child and teenager has been closed down for sometime. The summer evening light was really nice and the clouds were cooperating as well.

Going a little political today, this is a film about Proposition 8 in California.
Proposition 8 (or the California Marriage Protection Act) was a ballot proposition and constitutional amendment passed in the November 2008, state elections. The measure added a new provision, Section 7.5 of the Declaration of Rights, to the California Constitution, which provides that "only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California."

I spent a good part of my day cleaning, rehanging and rearranging my basement Hawaiian bathroom. It's our extra bathroom and has been Hawaiian style ever since we moved in 8 years ago. I have been to Hawaii five times, I have been to Oahu, Maui, The Big Island and my favorite, Kauai.
